Artist's Description

East Point Lighthouse as it looked in 1913. One of the book illustrations for "East Point the Red Roof Lighthouse", a children's story I've written about East Point lighthouse on the Maurice River and the Delaware Bay.

About Nancy Patterson

Nancy Patterson

Born in the suburbs of Philadelphia, Nancy was raised in a very active, athletic, and artistic family. She spent her early years in Somerton, PA. involved in many activities including gymnastics, ballet, ice skating, skiing, surfing, windsurfing and racing small sailboats in the back bays of southern New Jersey where she spent her summers. Nancy raced in both the International Moth Class and Laser Class sailboat from her early childhood. She still enjoys sailing as well as teaching sailing to this day. Her father, a gymnastics and sailing coach, along with her mother who was both a sailor and an artist gave her an early start in the things that are now her passion. Along with her very early art training from her mother and others...
